Shipping - General

At this time, orders ship only to addresses within the continental United States, Alaska and Hawaii. All orders are usually processed and shipped out within 2 to 3 business days. The mandarin's tea room is not responsible for service transit time. Transit times are provided by the carrier (USPS or FedEx) and may vary with package origin and destination, particularly during peak periods. All orders are shipped via FedEx or USPS. Standard shipping (4-7 business days):
$8.00 flat rate for all orders

Express shipping (2-3 business days):
$18.00 flat rate for all orders

International Shipping
We do international shipping. Please contact us for any inquiries via via e-mail or contact form, we'll be happy to assist you.
Shipping - Notifications

When shipping labels are prepared online and printed, customers will receive notification via email from either the USPS or FedEx, depending on the shipping method selected. If you do not receive this email within 2 to 4 days after placing your order, please check your Spam/Junk mail folder or contact us. This email will include your Delivery Confirmation Number (if USPS) or Tracking Number (if FedEx). Please note that the USPS Delivery Confirmation service is not an actual Tracking number, but rather simply shows when the label was printed and when the item was delivered at its final destination. We therefore strongly urge all customers to carefully consider their shipping option in relation to the final destination.

Shipping - Transit & Insurance
Once an order is given to a shipping carrier, the package then becomes that carrier's responsibility and The mandarin's tea room is no longer liable. All orders shipped via FedEx automatically include up to $100 insurance. If you would like to include insurance on a USPS order, please contact us directly.
Shipping - Incorrect / Insufficient / Misdirected Address / Order Cancellation
If you mistakenly provided us with an incorrect or insufficient address or would like to cancel your order, please contact us immediately with the corrected information. If your order has not yet shipped, we will correct it immediately with no problem. if your order has already been shipped via USPS, we must wait until delivery is attempted and then returned back to us before we can change the address or provide you with a refund - please note that original shipping charges are non-refundable and additional shipping charges will incur for reshipment.
Privacy Policy
The mandarin's tea room respects your privacy and will never sell, loan, rent, trade or give away any personal information that you offer during your visit. Personal information provided is only to be used for the services requested, such as processing an order and shipping your package to your address.

The mandarin's tea room's secured socket layer (ssl) uses the latest, industry-standard 256-bit encryption technology to ensure that your personal information (especially your name, address and credit card number) stays out of the wrong hands, and cannot be read or intercepted as it travels to our payment processing system. Look for the https:// in the address bar of your browser when you checkout - the 's' stands for 'secure'. Our security certificate can be viewed by double-clicking the little padlock icon at the bottom of your browser window.

If you do not feel comfortable with using your credit card online, you can email us at contact@themandarinstearoom.com with your order information, your address and phone number where you can be reached. We will then call you for your credit card information.

Vintage Items
All tea items are final (we do not offer refunds, credits or exchanges on these items).We describe all vintage items, through both photography and copy, as accurately as possible, If you have any questions or concerns at all about a particular item, please make sure to contact us before you make your purchase.
Returns & Exchanges

The Mandarin's Tea Room is dedicated to providing quality customer service and we will do what we can to better serve your needs. All returned items MUST be returned in original, unopened and unused/unconsumed condition with the original packing materials. Please make sure that items are well packed (additional packaging may be necessary) and insured for the full amount. A restocking fee may apply to any order not received in good condition. Unless it is the error of The Mandarin's Tea Room, all shipping charges incurred for returning merchandise to The Mandarin's Tea Room is the sole responsibility of the customer.

To make a return or exchange, you will need a Return Merchandise Authorization number. To obtain this, please email us at contact@themandarinstearoom.com and include your order number and a list of the item(s) you are returning in the body of the message. We'll then reply back with your RMA #, which you'll need to include in the address field of your package. This RMA # is very important to ensure proper tracking and handling of returned goods. Do not return any product(s) until you have received an RMA #.

Upon receipt of the shipment, The Mandarin's Tea Room will contact you by email to confirm your website/ store credit. Please reference your RMA number when calling to check on the status of your return.

Damages/Defective Merchandise
Please inspect your purchase as soon as it arrives. Damage claims on shipped items must be made within 48 hours of package arrival. No claims can be made after 48 hours. If for some reason there is damage or defect to your item, please notify us immediately. Email contact@themandarinstearoom.com for a return authorization on damaged items.
Sales Tax
We collect 4% New York sales tax on all orders shipped to addresses in New York. Residents in other states are responsible for complying with local state tax laws.
